The Tour
Departure from Egilsstaðir is at 08:00, where we will drive to Rjúkandi waterfall in Jökuldalur where our first stop will be. From there, the road leads to Stuðlagil, which is one of the most beautiful places in Iceland. We will stop there for about 2-3 hours, but the walk each way takes about thirty minutes. After enjoying the magnificent beauty of Stuðlagil that leaves no one untouched, we continue into the highlands to Hafrahvammagljúfur where we also stop and see the grandeur, 200 m. deep gorge. Then we head to Hálslón and Kárahnjúkar and look at the largest power plant in Iceland and one of the largest in Europe. We drive along Snæfell and down to Fljótsdalur and end the day with a visit to Óbyggðasetur Íslands before heading back to Egilsstaðir through the largest forest in Iceland, Hallormsstaðarskógur.
